Don’t Panic!

Jenna
Last year, over 150,000 students were reported by UCAS to have entered Clearing after results day. You aren't alone in this process. Many people don’t get into their first choice of University but this does not mean that you have failed anything. Universities across the country have places in Clearing, the University of Greenwich being just one of those. We have experienced advisors within our Clearing Team to advise you on courses you can apply for and any other enquiry you may have.

We are currently in Early Clearing so our lines and chat service are quieter than they will be after results day. If you have any queries or think that you may be able to apply now rather than wait, contact us and we will advise you.

Here are some tips for Clearing:

  1. You can’t apply for the same course at the same institution that you applied for in Main Cycle so be prepared to possibly compromise
  2. Be proactive and flexible. Call as many institutions as you want when you are in Clearing to maximise your options
  3. Do you research. Look up courses at other institutions before you apply. This will enable you to make an informed decision.
  4. Be prepared. Once you are made an offer, you will only have 10 days to respond to it so keep checking your emails and UCAS Track
  5. Do not refer yourself on UCAS until you have been made an offer for that course at that University.
  6. DON’T PANIC. If you are in Clearing now or are entered into Clearing later, it is possible to find a course somewhere. We are here to help you achieve your goals.
